Live In Concert For Enfield Cares

A host of musical talent will join the Mayor of Enfield, Cllr Christine Hamilton, to raise money for the Mayor’s charity Enfield Cares.
The line up features Red Sky July, Van Susans and JFK Blues
Red Sky July are husband and wife duo Ally Mcerlaine (guitarist in Texas) and Shelly Poole (one half of Alisha’s Attic) along with former model Charity Hair (The Alice Band). Red Sky July’s sound is a hazy blend of Alt-Country and Americana and they have been added to the playlist on BBC Radio 2 as well as appearing on a whole host of radio and TV slots. The band have supported artists such as; Sheryl Crow, Steve Earle, 10CC, Tom Jones, Beth Nielsen Chapman and Jools Holland. Festivals they have performed at include Glastonbury, Isle of Wight and T in the Park.
Red Sky July released their third album ‘The Truth and The Lie’ in March 2016. On release the album debuted in the top 3 of the Official UK Country Charts and garnered rave reviews and airplay. Renowned for Sound heralded it as “a modern country masterpiece.”
JFK Blues, a stylish rock and blues band with a fresh take on well-crafted rock and blues, with stirring songs and superb musicianship. These are musicians with one aim – to play their style of blues and rock with freedom of expression, not to get hung up on genres but to play music that they like. In doing so their music is contempory yet has a retro feel which brings familiarity and joy.People have commented that they have a Southern Rock sensibility combined with melodic songs with great hooks.
‘Rough Round The Edges’, the band’s debut album, is made up of totally self-penned material, it has received critical acclaim, having been played on BBC Radio2, Planet Rock and many other stations.

Van Susans are a Pop/Rock band residing in London’s leafy suburbs. Consisting of Olly Andrews, Will Showler, Holly McLatchie and brothers Rob Dullaway and Ed Dullaway, the group have a burning passion for melodic harmonies and tales of love and heartbreak, accompanied by both beautiful acoustic rhythms and assertive electric guitar riffs.
Van Susans are signed to the independent label, Beatnik Geek Records and cite classic mid nineties/early noughties bands such as Jack’s Mannequin, Jimmy Eat World, Something Corporate, Dashboard Confessional, Jamie T and Incubus. Their line-up includes the usual lead/backing vocals, guitars, keyboards and the occasional sounds of a violin played by Holly. In the run up to their debut release, the band spent their days writing and touring relentlessly, performing at established venues like London’s Indigo 2 and Clapham’s Grand.
